Members of the Parish Council, PCC, Village Charities and First Responders and wider community have come together to establish a Community Coronavirus Support Network.
There are currently 16 volunteers supporting 77 elderly households in our community. Each volunteer has a nominated group to help and a bright yellow card was posted through individual letter boxes confirming volunteer details. The volunteers are helping with essential shopping, other urgent supplies, posting mail, collecting medicines etc etc.
The group have also been working with local suppliers / shops and have had some success in getting them on board with telephone ordering, payments and deliveries.
It is envisaged that the number of households self-isolating will increase capturing indivdualswith symptoms and underlying health conditions.

We would also like to hear from anyone willing to volunteer to support others. As the situation worsens we have no doubt that more residents will be affected including some of our volunteers.
